Crazy=ME

October 9th was the Long Beach Marathon. In the beginning of 2011 that race was supposed to be my 2nd full marathon. But after the chaos and mess that ended up being called the Disneyland half marathon, I told myself NO MORE MARATHONS. Don’t get me wrong, Disneyland was the FUNNEST run ever and I actually enjoyed (almost) the entire run. But all the trouble and hassles I faced just to run Disneyland discouraged me from wanting to do any marathons ever again. And I have felt that way up until yesterday.

WELL…a girl NOT in my running group ended up running the Long Beach half marathon and she brought her medal to work. My blood boils with jealousy. I should have done the Long Beach marathon. I WANT that medal.

SOOOO, long story short and all jealousy aside…I changed my mind.

I have now lined up 4 marathons in the next year. Ridiculous I know. My New Year’s resolution is going to be to complete the “Beach Cities Challenge”. Beach Cities Challenge is 3 So Cal half or full marathons in a row. Once completed a SPECIAL medal will be given. I NEED this medal.  I’ll post pictures. So this is my race line up. Support me.

10/16/11- EASY Race for the Cure 5K
11/13/11-Riverside ½ Marathon
2/5/12-Huntington Beach ½ Marathon-(1st part of the Beach Cities Challenge)
May 2012- OC ½ Marathon-(2nd part BCC)
Oct 2012-Long Beach ½ Marathon-(3rd and final part of BCC)

And MAYBE the Disneyland 1/2 again next year (Sept) because it was SO fun.

 I am crazy. I think I might throw up. Speaking of throw up-yesterday I gave my shirt to a stranger that puked on themselves and still haven’t gotten it back. It was my running shirt too.

After all this I will quit. And take up dancing.

Race for the Cure-Susan Komen-Temecula

So, because I was SO jealous about the girls doing the OC Komen and me missing it I decided to participate in the Race for the Cure Temecula. I started a team and everything.
My team name is WOMEN OF WORTH. The walk is this Sunday and so far my team is great. We’ve got a great group and have even raised money for the cause. I can’t wait to walk with everyone on Sunday and be a part of this race again. I’ve done one before and it’s emotional, inspiring, and gratifying all at the same time.
Anyone that wants to help out can donate to our team or join @ www.komenie.org. It feels good to raise money and awareness for such a good cause for an illness that may affect me one day.
